MAINTENANCE OF SPECIAL FINISHING PRODUCTS

General Care:

For BRUMA faucets, we recommend that they are immediately washed of any residue left by liquid soap, shampoo, shower gel or toothpaste after use. Do not use aggressive cleaning products that contain caustic, abrasive, citric acids, bleach, vinegar or alcoholic ingredients. Do not use abrasive cloths, scrubs, etc., or the surface will be damaged. The use of aggressive cleaning products will invalidate the warranty of the product.
Salt and chlorine can cause damage to decorative finishes. Avoid locating faucets and fittings in environments exposed to such elements.
Due to impurities in most waters, regular cleaning of aerators and shower heads at regular intervals is recommended.

Maintenance of product with colour finishes:

We recommend that the taps are regularly cleaned with hot water and then immediately polished with a dry microfiber cloth. Periodically resorting to this type of operation helps to avoid water stains on these finishes. A soft liquid soap and warm water can be used, however, the ingredients should be checked to ensure that there are no agents (listed above) in the soap that could cause damage to the materials being maintained..

MAINTENANCE, CLEANING AND CARE OF X-ALPHA PRODUCTS

Tips for everyday use:
The daily care and maintenance of X-Alpha products should made by using a stainless steel cleaning product. Apply the product to a damp cloth, gently rub the surface and leave to act. Rinse with plenty of water and wipe with a dry cloth.

Scratches:
If you want to repair scratches, you can use a Scotch-Brite scouring pad with a stainless steel cleaner. Apply enough product to cover the scratch, and scrub with the scouring pad following the texture of the surface. Once the scratch has been removed, rinse it with plenty of water and wipe it with a dry cloth.

Stubborn stains and rust:
Any rust stains that appear on the surface of the stainless steel product come from external sources. To remove rust stains, we recommend using a detergent based on oxalic acid, which you can find in any specialized store. To remove stubborn stains from stainless steel, always use mild, non-abrasive detergents, and then rinse with plenty of water and wipe with a dry cloth.

We do not recommend the use of

  • - Cleaning products containing solvents or acids
  • - Limescale removers, household vinegar or cleaning products containing acetic acid
  • - Bleaches containing hypochlorite
  • - Use of steel scouring pads
