BRUMA EUROPA, Lda. (BRUMA) is committed to protecting the privacy of all users of its website and has prepared this privacy policy to that end.

Additionally, it's important to clarify that mere navigation or access to the BRUMA website will not necessarily involve cookies or the collection of your data.

Personal data corresponds to any information concerning an identified or identifiable natural person of any nature and regardless of the type of support.

  1. 3. Purpose of Personal Data Processing

The collection and treatment of personal data on the BRUMA website it's aimed at sending information by request of the customer via the contact form.

In the case of the user expressly allows the treatment of his/her data beforehand (consent that can be withdrawn at any moment - see point 5 below), BRUMA undertakes to ensure the treatment of personal data to the extent and for the time necessary to fulfil its purposes.

Given the above, BRUMA makes it clear that it does not request or encourage, at any place or in any way, the submission and sending of personal data referring to philosophical or political beliefs, party or trade union membership, religious faith, private life and racial or ethnic origin, as well as the processing of data concerning health and sex life, including genetic data.

Therefore, if personal data is shared with BRUMA, the latter cannot be held responsible for its processing under the terms of the Privacy Policy.

Without prejudice to other forms of contact with BRUMA, the non-transmission of personal data by the user will prevent BRUMA from considering it for sending replies, depending on the applicable situation.

  1. 4. Conservation of Personal Data

The period during which the personal data are stored and kept will vary according to the purposes mentioned above.

The personal data whose purpose is to send information about new products and/or services of BRUMA will be kept for 1 (one) year after the last contact with the holder of the personal data, without prejudice to the possibility of longer periods whenever the situation warrants it (provided that proportionally to such situation), namely to safeguard the rights also of BRUMA.

  1. 5. Right of access, rectification, erasure, limitation of processing and right to personal data portability

The user is guaranteed, at any time, the right to access their data, as well as to the respective rectification, erasure, portability, limitation and/or opposition to treatment - in this sense, they can exercise any of these rights by writing to BRUMA at its head office address or via the following e-mail address info@bruma.pt.

Furthermore, the user will always be able to present the complaints deemed necessary to the competent authority for this purpose.

  1. 6. Security in Personal Data Treatment

The personal data will be processed and stored electronically and in paper format.

BRUMA is committed to guaranteeing the security and protection of the personal data sent to us via the website, having adopted the necessary adequate measures for this purpose, namely:

  • protection with passwords;
  • use of digital certificates;
  • physical entrance restrictions to the places where the personal data storage servers are located;
  • firewalls;
  • secure communication via the https protocol.

BRUMA informs that the security measures are revised and updated according to the needs and requirements of these matters.

If, for any reason, there is a breach of security leading to the accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, or unauthorised disclosure of or access to personal data, BRUMA undertakes, under the terms of the applicable legislation, to notify the competent authorities without justified delay and, whenever possible, within 72 hours of becoming aware of such occurrence.  

Additionally, and under the terms referred to in the immediately preceding paragraph, BRUMA undertakes to communicate the personal data breach to the respective data subject by the applicable law.

Notwithstanding the security measures adopted by BRUMA, it should be noted and warned that users must also adopt additional security measures to ensure that an active firewall, antivirus and antispyware programs are up to date.

  1. 7. Communication of Personal Data to Third Parties

Within the scope of its activity, BRUMA may resort to third parties for the provision of certain services (located inside or outside the European Union), which may imply, in some situations, access by such entities to users' data.

In such case, BRUMA undertakes to take the necessary and adequate measures to ensure that the entities having access to such personal data are reputable and offer high guarantees at this level, which will be duly established and safeguarded in a contract to be signed in writing between BRUMA and the third party(ies).

Any entity subcontracted by BRUMA will process the user's data in its name and on its behalf in the commitment to adopt the necessary technical and organisational measures to protect the personal data against accidental or illicit destruction, accidental loss, alteration, diffusion, or unauthorised access and against any other form of unlawful treatment.

In any case, BRUMA remains responsible for the processing of personal data. 

  1. 8. Right to be forgotten

The holder of the personal data has the right to obtain, from the controller, the deletion of the data, who will in turn be obliged to delete them, where one of the following reasons applies: 

  • The data are no longer necessary for the purpose for which they were collected or processed;
  • The data subject withdraws consent when consent is the legal basis, or the data subject opposes the processing, and there are no overriding legitimate interests that justify keeping it.
  1. 9. Access to third-party websites

The privacy policy does not apply to third-party websites. In this case, whenever you visit another website from this, you should always read the applicable privacy policy and check if you agree with its terms before giving your data.

BRUMA is not responsible for the applicable privacy policy or the contents available on third-party websites.

BRUMA reserves the right to make adjustments or changes to this privacy policy at any time, but such changes will be published on this website.
